Discover how to make a lost wax bronze in 6 steps and less than 1 minute

Step 1: Design a mold and a counter mold, both hollow, in elastomer and plaster.

Step 2: Prepare the mold by pouring lost wax inside to the desired thickness to obtain a thin layer of wax.

The two half-shells are closed to fill the hollow of the mold with wax. This creates a wax proof of the original sculpture.

Step 3:

The hollow is filled with refractory plaster to create a core, so that the bronze does not fill the entire piece.

4th step: the oven for 2 to 3 days. The wax liquefies and the bronze, cast, replaces it. The mold is broken to remove the piece from the oven.

5th step: sandblasting to remove the excess plaster.

6th step: We move on to the patina. The wax is applied, the artist can place his signature. The founder puts his stamp, the number and the year of casting.

And there you have it
