Expertisez Enchères: Two Websites for Selling and Buying

Encherissez.com is dedicated to the auctions organised by Expertisez Enchères and to helping collectors and art lovers discover the works and objects offered for sale.

Created in 2020, Encherissez.com complements Expertisez.com , the website devoted to valuations, specialist assessments and the preparation of property entrusted to our auction house.

Together, the two websites assist sellers and buyers throughout the process: valuation, specialist assessment, preparation for sale, catalogue consultation and participation in auctions.

Expertisez.com for Sellers

Launched in 2006, Expertisez.com allows owners to request a valuation of a work of art or collectable and to receive advice on selling it at auction or through a private sale.

Paintings, sculptures, jewellery, watches, fine wines, design pieces and other collectables may be submitted to our team for an initial assessment.

Encherissez.com presents the auction calendar and catalogues of sales organised by Expertisez Enchères. Buyers can discover the lots offered and access information about taking part.

Auctions may be held in a saleroom, including at Hôtel Drouot in Paris, and broadcast online in accordance with the arrangements announced for each sale.

Éric Couturier

Following studies in art and law, Éric Couturier was appointed as an auctioneer at Hôtel Drouot in 1985. He worked at Hoebanx–Couturier, which he subsequently managed as sole partner from 1995 to 2005, before it became Étude Éric Couturier.

  • 1987: organisation at Drouot of an early specialist auction devoted to modern and contemporary sculpture.
  • 1995–2005: management of Hoebanx–Couturier as sole partner.
  • 2006: creation of Expertisez.com with Élodie Couturier.
  • 2020: creation of Encherissez.com, a platform dedicated to auctions and buyers.

Éric Couturier specialises in modern and contemporary sculpture and paintings. He is also listed as a specialist in the works of Jean Fautrier and Étienne-Martin.

Élodie Couturier

A graduate in art history and archaeology from the Sorbonne, Élodie Couturier opened a gallery in rue de l’Échaudé in 1995, exhibiting modern and contemporary paintings and sculpture.

  • 1999–2003: auction-house clerk in Paris and studies at the Institut National de Gemmologie.
  • 2003: opening of a gallery in rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, devoted to jewellery and paintings.
  • 2006: creation of Expertisez.com with Éric Couturier.
  • 2020: creation of Encherissez.com, a platform dedicated to auctions and buyers.
  • Since 2022: creator and presenter of the Expertisez YouTube channel, devoted to the art market, museums and exhibitions.

A qualified gemmologist, Élodie Couturier specialises in jewellery and vintage luxury. She has lectured at the École Internationale de Marketing du Luxe and worked as a jewellery consultant for an international auction house.
