YVES KLEIN
Yves KLEIN (1928-1962) - Untitled Shroud Anthropometry ( ANT SU 31), 1961 Main du Futur pénétrant dans le Passé Pure pigment and undetermined binder on gauze Signed and dated 1961 at the bottom and titled by the artist on the back "Main du Futur pénétrant dans le passé" 23 x 13 cm Provenance: Taramesco Collection - Private Collection - This work is registered in the Yves Klein Archives under the reference ANT SU 31. A certificate can be given to the buyer upon request. Note: "Anthropometry" is the term coined by Pierre Restany (anthropo, from the Greek anthropos: man, and metrie: measurement) to name what Klein called "the technique of living brushes". And it is indeed a measure of the living that the artist wants to communicate and develops in 1960. The work presented is therefore part of the first achievements of the artist in this area. The digital images are attached for documentation purposes only and are not part of the lot, but the digital files can be sent to the buyer.
