André Vincent BECQUEREL (1893-1981) - Lot 53

André Vincent BECQUEREL (1893-1981) Panther on the prowl Bronze sculpture signed on the back on the terrace Stamped "Susse Editeur Frères" on the back on the terrace. Lost-wax stamp on the front (under the rock). Note: In this bronze sculpture, André-Vincent Becquerel precisely captures the tension and elegance of a panther on the prowl, frozen in a moment of concentration and latent power. The refined modeling underlines the animal's suppleness and strength, while the subtle patina accentuates the depth of the forms. Produced by Susse Frères in lost-wax casting, this work testifies to the artist's exceptional skill in animal sculpture, where naturalism and dynamism are harmoniously combined.
