Claude VENARD (1913-1999) Still life with globe Oil on canvas 100 x 100 cm Note: Nature morte à la mappemonde is a work in oil on canvas by Claude Venard, an emblematic artist of the post-Cubist movement. This still life combines classical elements, such as a world map, with the dynamic, geometric vision characteristic of the artist's style. The composition is structured by angular shapes and a vibrant color palette, creating a balance between abstraction and figuration. The canvas's large, square format accentuates the work's visual impact, allowing the richness of texture and detail to be fully appreciated. This painting is an important piece for collectors of modern art, particularly those interested in Venard's work and the representation of everyday objects from an original, dynamic angle.
