COIFFEUSE in veneer and marquetry. - Lot 143
COIFFEUSE in veneer and marquetry.
Sheath legs ending in sabots with casters.
It opens on the top with three flaps, the central one adorned with a central mirror (later) and the two sides forming compartments, and on the front with three small drawers and a writing tablet.
Early 19th century
Note: This veneered and marquetry dressing table, dating from the early XIXᵉ century, illustrates the sober elegance of furniture from this period. Its refined geometric decoration and straight lines, typical of the Empire or Restoration style, make it a functional and decorative piece, testimony to the taste for furniture that was both practical and delicately ornate.
