Georges RIPART (1871-1933) (after) - Lot 325
Georges RIPART (1871-1933) (after) Country party 1830 Etching, 1913 45 x 65 cm Folds and soiling Note: This print based on Georges Ripart accurately recreates the atmosphere of a lively scene from the early XIXᵉ century, in a narrative style typical of early XXᵉ century historical illustrations. The folds and soiling only slightly alter the legibility of this abundant composition, which remains an interesting testimony to the taste for picturesque reconstructions and genre scenes of the period.
