Frédéric GRANDEAU (1956) - Lot 234
Frédéric GRANDEAU (1956) Set of 3 compositions Mixed media on card Signed lower right 50 x 41 cm Note: These energetic compositions, structured by broad curves and volutes of color, illustrate a plastic research characteristic of twentieth-century French expressive abstraction. The vibrant contrast between the tonalities, reinforced by a broad, assertive line, gives the whole an almost sculptural dynamic. The work bears witness to a free gestural style in which color becomes the driving force behind form.
