Charles SCHNEIDER dit CHARDER (1881-1953) Vase Molded and frosted glass with stylized floral decoration in shades of blue and violet, enhanced by geometric motifs at the top. Frosted background with relief relief decoration, punctuated by floral elements with shaded hearts, with characteristic vertical drip effects. Charder signature engraved on the body. Height: 20 cm Condition : Good overall condition. Slight wear and minor marks inherent to the technique and age. No chips or cracks visible on examination. Comment : A major figure in French artistic glassmaking of the XXᵉ century, Charles Schneider developed, under the pseudonym Charder, from the 1920s onwards, a personal production marked by research into color and acid-cleared decoration. This vase, with its nuanced palette and stylized floral decoration, is fully in keeping with the Art Deco aesthetic of Schneider glassware, which is highly sought-after today.
