Angélique BOISSIÈRE (XX-XXI) - Lot 315

Angélique BOISSIÈRE (XX-XXI) Ada XXI, 2023 Silver print In the margin in felt-tip pen, titled, dated, signed and numbered 1/10 Image size: 30 x 30 cm Sheet size: 40 x 40 cm Note: In this composition, Angélique Boissière places the body in a dense vegetal landscape, where the figure seems both to abandon itself and to melt into the matter of the world. The close framing isolates the face, suspended between wakefulness and sleep, while the ears of wheat form a tactile, almost organic setting. Black and white accentuates the softness of the textures and the diffuse sensuality of the scene, creating a timeless atmosphere. Part portrait, part reverie, this image explores the intimate links between nature, memory and interiority.
