Note: Born in Mexico in 1959, Miguel Chevalier lives and works mainly in Paris. Since 1982, his art has been characterized by an exploration of today's technologies. His field of investigation is rooted in art history, whose essential data he reformulates with the aid of computer tools. His themes relate to his observation of the flows and networks that organize our contemporary societies. He has established himself internationally as one of the pioneers of virtual and digital art. His images perpetually question our relationship with the world. A pioneer of virtual art, Miguel Chevalier uses computers to recompose an artistic space that viewers can inhabit as they see fit. L'Algorithme pixélisé is a sound poem, an index of digital art that crosses keywords such as écranique, cybernétique, oscillation, persévérance, arborescence, détournement, hybridisation... The first edition is accompanied by a CD-Rom containing an algorithm that creates a unique work for each copy.
