Noël Dolla (b. 1945 in Nice, where he lives and works) is an artist associated with the Supports/Surfaces group. For over thirty years, his work has addressed the question of painting and, more specifically, abstract painting, continually shifting his focus to fields of investigation that allow him to explore the practice of painting to its furthest limits and margins. Noël Dolla is professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de la Villa Arson, Nice. Unpublished text accompanied by an original monotype on lead sheet made from decoys, signed and unique for each copy.
