Tom Glass and Aka Ned Lamont (20th century) Avalon Ballroom - July 27 to 30, 67 Concert poster with Blue Cheer, Youngbloods, Captain Beefheart and his magic band (FD-73) 53 x 32.5 cm Note: Poster produced for the Summer of Love 1967 concerts at the Avalon Ballroom. The FD (Family Dog) series is one of the major sets of California psychedelic posters, particularly sought-after by specialized collectors. The composition is typical of the psychedelic aesthetic: lettering integrated into the graphic structure, vibrant colors, interlocking shapes and iconography typical of the counter-culture of the late 1960s.
