Massimo Mattioli (1943-2019) - Lot 27

Massimo Mattioli (1943-2019) X-Rays Specs, circa 1980 Poster signed and numbered 6/80 in pencil lower right 68 x 48 cm Note: Work produced in the context of the European underground scene of the late 1970s - early 1980s. Massimo Mattioli, a major figure in Italian alternative comics, developed a provocative, psychedelic and willingly subversive graphic universe, marked by a punk and post-underground aesthetic. This poster, printed in an edition of 80, is in this experimental vein: expressive drawing, incisive line treatment, assertive chromaticism. The autograph signature and numbering make this a limited edition sought-after by collectors of posters and alternative graphic art.
