GIL RIGOULET - Lot 227

GIL RIGOULET "Rockabilly 82 Éditions Rebel, 1982. Illustrated book with black & white photographs of the French rockabilly scene in the early 1980s. Good condition. Note: Published in 1982, Rockabilly 82 is a rare visual record of rockabilly culture in France in the early 1980s. The publication, from an independent circuit (Éditions Rebel), is in keeping with the DIY aesthetic typical of the alternative music movements of the time. The silkscreened cloth binding reinforces its character as a graphic object. The market for photographic books devoted to the underground cultures and music scenes of the 1980s is dynamic, driven by collectors of rock culture and documentary photography.
