José NICOLAS (1956) - Lot 186
José NICOLAS (1956) Set of two photographs: Temple, Jaipur, Rajasthan, 2023 Color silver prints Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm Note: With this set of photographs taken in Jaipur, José Nicolas offers two complementary visions of the same place. One focuses on the urban effervescence and architectural environment, while the other emphasizes the encounter between a human figure and the temple's ornamental wealth. The dialogue between these two images highlights the contrast between movement and contemplation, between lived space and symbolic space. In this way, the artist reveals the complexity of a place where everyday life is embedded in a heritage steeped in history.
