Roger CORBEAU (1908-1995) - Lot 61
Roger CORBEAU (1908-1995) Juliette Gréco in the film "L'Homme et l'enfant", 1956 Silver print on baryta paper in a marie-louise On the back: author's stamp and titled Image size: 29.5 x 20.5 cm Size of marie-louise: 50 x 40 cm Note: In this cinematic portrait of Juliette Gréco, Roger Corbeau masterfully plays with light and shadow to reveal the dramatic intensity of the character. Tight framing and chiaroscuro sculpt the face and body, giving the image a mysterious, almost theatrical aura. Faithful to the aesthetics of 1950s cinema, this photograph combines elegance, tension and nocturnal poetry.
