Jordan RETARD (XX-XXI) - Lot 156
Jordan RETARD (XX-XXI) Noemie and Zoé Berlin, 2023 Silver print On back, signed, titled, dated Dimensions: 30 x 40 cm Note: This photograph by Jordan Retard presents an intimate, almost suspended scene, somewhere between abandonment and staging. The two bodies lying on the bed seem both close and detached, immersed in a form of melancholy calm. The natural light coming through the window softens the contours and sets the scene in a simple, almost banal everyday life, contrasting with the nudity. Black and white reinforces this impression of suspended time and interiority. The presence of the cat in the foreground adds a domestic, soothing note, anchoring the image in a familiar reality. The whole evokes a free, unprovoked intimacy, where the body becomes a natural part of the setting.
