President Coolidge, leader of the redskins - Lot 304
President Coolidge, leader of the redskins Silver print On back, Agence TRAMPUS stamp and small yellow paper with notes Dimensions: 18 cm x 13 cm Sold in used condition. Note: This photograph shows U.S. President Calvin Coolidge in a symbolic setting, evoking his association with a Native American "chief" figure - a frequent iconography in early 20th-century American political communication. The image is both a historical document and a press photograph, as evidenced by the Trampus agency stamp on the reverse. The small annotated paper reinforces its character as a working archive. Today, this type of print, distributed by agencies, is mainly of documentary and historical interest, illustrating the media and political uses of images at the time.
