José NICOLAS (1956) - Lot 349
José NICOLAS (1956)
Family in Monganaro, Madagascar, 2019
Sepia silver print
On back, signed, dated, titled, justified 2/8
Dimensions including margins: 50 x 40 cm
Note: In this photograph, José Nicolas delicately captures the intimacy of an ordinary moment, where smiles, postures and glances tell much more than the simple family scene. Far from staging, he captures the quiet dignity of bodies, the discreet humor of children and the silent pride of adults. His eye, always respectful, transforms the moment into a sensitive testimony to everyday life, where every detail becomes a bearer of memory, identity and humanity.
