Note: In this photograph, José Nicolas captures a moment suspended between expectation, fatigue and uncertainty. The gazes, sometimes lost, sometimes turned towards the horizon, tell a collective story without ever erasing individual trajectories. True to his humanist approach, the photographer does not seek the spectacular, but the silent truth of faces and bodies. His work bears witness to an era, to a human drama, while leaving room for profound dignity. More than a document, this image becomes a memory, a call not to forget.
