Photograph, vintage silver print, labeled (dated tag) on the back. 20.2 x 25.5 cm, including white borders. Signs of handling, some visible only when held up to the light. Note: As head of the House of Dior, Yves Saint Laurent was already extending his talent to the world of the performing arts. Featuring Colette Marchand, a prima ballerina with Roland Petit’s Ballets de Paris, this 1959 photograph bears witness to the fruitful dialogue between haute couture and choreography.
