GOLD MEDAL OF SAINT-TROPEZ Yellow gold (750‰) necklace holding a circular medal depicting, on one side, Saint Tropez surrounded by the inscription “SAINT TROPEZ, PRAY FOR US” and, on the other side, a boat accompanied by the motto “AD USQUE FIDELIS.” Black braided cord. Made in France. Medal length: 2.8 cm. Gross weight: 16.6 g. Note: A religious emblem and symbol of the village’s identity, the Saint-Tropez medal depicts its patron saint. This design is said to have been created in 1945 by the former Frantz jewelry store before being taken over by the Schaming family in 1980. Originally worn by native residents of Saint-Tropez, it has become a symbol of attachment to the village and its maritime history.
