VALERIO ADAMI AND ERRO - Lot 115
VALERIO ADAMI AND ERRO During the filming of Adami’s movie *Vacances au Sahara*, 1970. Photo by Clovis Prévost, vintage silver print, annotated and signed by the photographer. 17.8 x 23.8 cm, including white border. Note: This photograph, taken by Clovis Prévost in 1970, shows Valerio Adami and Erró during the filming of *Vacances au Sahara*. Bringing together two major figures of the postwar European art scene, this image bears witness to the close ties that then united the visual arts, cinema, and new forms of visual creation. Valerio Adami, famous for his compositions with bold black outlines and flat areas of vivid color, developed a body of work informed by literature, politics, and contemporary culture. Erró, an Icelandic artist associated with Narrative Figuration, is known for his large-scale painted collages that blend images from popular culture, comics, and the media. Signed by the photographer, this print serves as a valuable record of the encounter between two prominent figures in contemporary art in the early 1970s.
