CHAUMET, LIGHTER - Lot 51
CHAUMET, LIGHTER Pocket lighter made of 750-th yellow gold and 585-th silver, with a slightly trapezoidal rectangular shape; the body is adorned with diagonal fluting in patinated silver, and the frame is polished yellow gold. Flint-style mechanism. Signed and numbered. French craftsmanship from the 1970s–1980s. Gross weight: 66.8 g. Condition: Signs of normal wear. Functionality not guaranteed. Note: This luxury lighter is a testament to the craftsmanship of the House of Chaumet, which also developed, during the second half of the 20th century, a line of precious objects and prestigious accessories. The combination of gold and silver, paired with a understated design featuring diagonal fluting, exemplifies the refined aesthetic of French creations from the 1970s–1980s. Sought after by collectors of luxury lighters as well as by admirers of Chaumet, these models remain relatively rare on the market.
